Talawakele, 3 diff, 1894-1901
Talawakele 3 different CDS. small diameter (1894) and larger diameter with larger letters- 1901. The double ring CDS with arcs and cross at base was introduced during the KEVII period and the cancellation shown is very early with a mixed QV and KEVII franking. Talawakele was situated in the heart of the tea industry and generated a relatively larger volume of mail resulting in the use of three different cancelling devices in the space of 10 years.

The camp (Kraal Town), 1902
The Camp CDS was used for temporary post offices. This usage was in Kraaltown near Kurunegala in 1902. Kraal Town was where the annual elephant roundup was held. This usage on Feb 24 02 is the only recorded date by Proud for this camp.
Tonacombe, 1895
Tonacombe (MR 3/95) to Colombo. It was opened as a sub post office under Badulla in 1893. It was renamed Namunukula in 1895. This CDS was therefore in existence only for about two years.
